Why Do You Need an Emergency Response Plan ? The obvious reason for developing an ERP is to mitigate the consequences of emergencies.  

ERP development includes a review of specific program elements and utilizes results and content developed in the Threat Assessment or Risk and Resilience Assessment. Development of relevant response protocols and checklists, role-specific training for key Emergency Response Team members, and/or other emergency management needs identified by your organization are also included.
